Pastor Troy Thacker is a native of the Orange area. In 1994, he heeded the call to the pastorate, and the same year attended Bob Jones University to seek a bachelors degree in Bible.
Upon graduation from Bob Jones University, he moved to Pennsylvania, where he served for six years as the assistant pastor of youth and outreach at Maranatha Baptist Church in Sinking Spring, Pa.
In January of 2007 he was called to take over the position of senior pastor at Grace Baptist after Pastor Ben Kistler, the pastor of Grace Baptist for the past 20 years, retired.
Pastor Thacker has been married to his wife, Annie since 1999, and they have three children: a son, Braden, and two daughters, Audrey and Natalie.
Pastor Thacker's life verse is 1 Corinthians 14:40 which says,
"Let all things be done decently
and in order."
